At Botany we believe in sharing knowledge and continual learning thats why we run creative workshops all year round, every workshop is run by a talented and experienced artist, maker or practitioner. Happy Houseplants

The Happy Houseplants workshop aims to give an education in common houseplants.

We'll cover the history of houseplants, what will thrive best in which situations and why some houseplants you are trying to get your hands on are just not that easy to find. Learn about different light and water requirements, how and when to pot on and finally we will then guide you through how to propagate different sorts of plants. This is the perfect opportunity to gain a bit of confidence and knowledge with your indoor plants.

Photography Workshop Level 1 with Carolyn Carter

Learn how to get the most out of your digital camera and take better pictures with photographer Carolyn Carter.

The workshop will include:
- The basics of photography.
- Understanding your camera better; Apertures, Shutter Speed, ISO and other camera modes.
- How to use natural light for better pictures
- Composition and how to best frame your subject
- How to take better portraits
- A chance to practice your new found skills.

An introduction to the art of aromatherapy

with julia lawless


Join industry expert and renowned author Julia Lawless from Aqua Oleum to learn all about the art of aromatherapy.

The workshop will cover the history of Aromatherapy, what are essential oils, how to use them at home and the Julia will teach you the  beneifits of blending oil and will guide you in making your own individual body oil to take home.

Natural Dye  Workshop with Christine Lewis


Join Christine Lewis for an introduction to the world of natural dyeing.

Learn about the history of natural dying, how to extract pigment from nature and the how to create your own dye vats at home. Using fresh and dried flowers, herbs and kitchen waste you'll be able create your own colour palette swatches and dye your own tote bag.

In this workshop participants will learn about how African Shea Butter is made, how essential oils can be used to naturally improve or reduce skin conditions like dryness and sensitivity, and how to prepare their own 100% natural plant based body butter.  

Liha Beauty will be on hand to answer any questions, and to provide an introduction and education to making your own botanical beauty creations at home.

Learn how to identify wild flowers and create your own floral arrangement, Botany style! 

The workshop will begin with a walk from Stratford to identify and draw inspiration from the wild flowers and green spaces. Back at the shop we'll show you create your own wild flower bouquet inspired from the walk to take home with you.
